Roser Gay 2018

‘Recollint la primavera’

I chose an abandoned house that is on Garita Street in Riba-roja d’Ebre to create this artwork. This facade has recently started to be cared for by the neighbour who lives opposite. For some time, they have placed pots full of flowers outside it and suddenly, it’s now equipped with pride and hope. In fact the house had never caught my interest before, but now someone has started to care for it, it looks as if the flowers have opened to invite swallows to nest there. This is what I want to happen to the village of Riba-roja d’Ebre, the magic of this street spreading around the old town. Hopefully the gods and goddesses are on our side and our children can feel like they are living in paradise.
